 ELIGIBILITY
  • Must be 16 years old as of January 31, 2026.
  • Must provide evidence of being a PA resident as of January 31, 2026.
  • Applicant must be one of the following: 
    • Current high school students (as of January 31, 2026) who are graduating before September 1, 2026. 
    • Postsecondary students who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree, who are enrolled in accredited postsecondary institutions in an aviation-related program. 
  • Funding must be fully expended no later than December 31, 2027.  
 SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNTS AND USES 
  • Scholarship amounts will vary, with an anticipated maximum amount of $4,000 (subject to change). 
    • Scholarships must be used to advance the applicant’s aviation or aerospace career intentions. Scholarships are permitted to be utilized only for: 
    • Accredited postsecondary aviation-related programs leading to a certificate or degree (e.g., pilot, drone pilot, aviation maintenance technician, avionics technician). 
  • Flight training at a Pennsylvania FAA-approved part 61 or 141 flight training program that is not part of a collegiate degree or certificate program. 
 SELECTION CRITERIA
  • All required components of the application must be submitted by the closing date of the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Competitive holistic selection process based on applicant strength based on submitted application and supporting documents. 
  • Academic achievement, extracurricular/work/volunteer experiences, and a demonstrated interest in giving back to the aviation community, as expressed in the essay, are among the key criteria on which applications will be evaluated. 
 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION TIMELINE
  • Applications Open: October 6, 2025
  • Applications Close: January 31, 2026, at 11:59:00 PM ET
  • Application Website: https://aerium.org/apply (opens on October 6, 2025) 
  • Applications will be reviewed in February and March 2026. Final decisions are expected in April 2026.
